A Day Of Rest? Or Not?

It was early in the morning. After taking care of Hadya and helping with the other horses Sam started to back up her saddle bag. Getting it ready for the endurance race. Damien happened to notice what she was up to. “SAM! Do you really thing im letting you enter that race!” Damien said angrily. “YES. This is important to me and Hadya. We. Are. Going!” Sam yelled back at him. Kat happened to notice the commotion and went over to see what was happening. “ I said NO.” Damien yelled back. “WE are RACING” Sam yelled back. Kat understood exactly what was happening. “DAMIEN!” she yelled as she walked over to them. Damien quickly looked to her. “Kat... please stay out of this.” He said calm but with a hint of anger. "Excuse me?" Kat said angrily as she crossed her arms and stomped her foot. "There is nothing wrong with letting her go." she said looking to Sam and smiling softly before looking back to Damien and glaring at him.

"NO... She’s not old enough to race!" He yelled as he turned his attention to Kat. Sam smiled back at Kat and rolled her eyes at Damien. Kat grumbled as she walked over and started to help Sam finish getting ready. "She is plenty old enough Damien... She is over the age limit." she said grumpily to him. Damien quickly looked to them. "No means NO and that’s FINAL!" He yelled. "She is not racing in this race!" He continued. Sam didn’t look at him or Kat. She was starting to think that he really wouldn’t let her go. Kat turned sharply towards him. "You! You smarten up Damien! She is going! I will lock you in the trailer until its over if I have to." she said angrily. Damien stepped back a little as she yelled at him. "Uh WAIT you cant do that!" He yelled back at her. "My rules and my trailer you cant lock me in it." He said angrily. at stepped forwards stopping an inch from him.

"You wanna bet?" she said in an evil grin. "You let her go in this race, or I will move back to Soaring Dream. No joke. I am getting tired of you treating your sister like a child." she said gritting her teeth. Damien looked at her and blinked a few times. "Uh w-wait you don’t really mean that do you??" he said softly now worrying that she might actually be telling the truth. Sam couldn’t help but smirk a little. She hope Damien would give in she felt like Kat was a older sister and didn’t want her to leave. Kat's face softened some. "Just let her go. That's all I ask." Damien looked to Kat for a moment, then to Sam. His demeanour softened as he looked down. "... Alright... I'll let her go.." He said quietly. Sam quickly looked to Damien not believing what he said. Kat smiled softly as she placed her hands on Damien’s cheeks and lifted his face to hers. "Thank you my love." she said softly as she leant in and kissed him. He kissed her back softly. Sam smiled and continued to pack her bag. "Oh get a room." She joked. Damien quickly pulled away from Kat. "YOU SHUT UP!" He yelled. Kat laughed as she kissed Damien's forehead and turned to finish helping Sam.
